Finding our own story

Four years, 1460 days, my life in Henan Institute of science and technology came to an end. Looking back on the past four years, what the academy has brought to me is not only the growth of knowledge and ability, but also the broadening of my horizon and the development of my thinking.

Ignorant freshman

As a freshman in University, I went to various activities arranged by the college. At that time, I didn't know the significance of these activities, but it was also because of these activities that enriched my college life. Later, I joined the student union, met students of different majors, saw many excellent students, and set up goals for myself in my heart.

Confused sophomore

When I was a sophomore, I became familiar with campus and adapted to university life. We can distinguish Building 9 from building 6, grasp the best time to buy meals in the canteen, understand the opening and closing time of the library, and of course, find out which restaurant in the university town has cheap, affordable and delicious meals. At this time, I began to be confused. Some of the students around have taken double degrees, some often skip classes, some take part-time jobs, and some have fun everywhere And I began to wonder what the University meant. Confused, I found a teacher to communicate with my sister. Finally, I decided to stay in the student union and signed up for the IELTS training class of the college. The student union urged me to keep moving forward, IELTS class let me realize my lack of learning. Also because of my persistence in study, I successfully applied for the college students' innovation and entrepreneurship project and published a paper. In this way, I spent no rest days, running in the college office, classroom, library sophomore life.

Growth -- junior

Time flies, in a twinkling of an eye, he has become an "old school sister.". As a junior, I served as the vice president of the college student union, and out of love for children, I found a part-time job as a teaching assistant. The busy junior started the curtain. At this time, I was in the classroom, library, college office, part-time training institutions. Get up at 6:30 every day and start your day. If you ask me, are you tired? Tired is really tired, and I suddenly feel very hard. My roommates are sleeping, and I need to get up on my feet to go to work or go to the library to look up the literature. My roommate took a nap while I was running in the gym. After that, I had to rush to class or deal with the work of the student union. Although, very hard, but also thanks to their own did not relax at any time, also did not choose to give up. Through the study of professional courses and the Australian study tour organized by the college, I have strengthened my determination to continue my further study -- postgraduate entrance examination.

Mature senior

2 days, 4 exams, 12 hours, 1.5 pens. The war called "postgraduate entrance examination" started in the annual drama "occupying seats", and ended at the moment when the whistle stopped. I got the admission notice from Beijing University of technology. I learned the importance of self-management. In the process of taking the postgraduate entrance examination, I will feel anxious because I can't remember the words, recite professional courses, and do not know how to learn. At first, I didn't know how to deal with it. I often chose to escape (for example, pretending that I worked hard, leaving early and returning late every day, but I was inefficient). But escape is not the way to solve the problem after all. Gradually, I began to reflect on myself, find my own shortcomings, find a way to suit myself, and finally achieved success.

University is a process of independent growth, from ignorance to maturity. In this process of self doubt, denial and affirmation, we can find our true self. There is no perfect university, only suitable for their own. It's like hotpot. Some people like spicy pot, some like mushroom soup pot, and some like tomato pot. Of course, some people don't like hotpot. In the growth of the University Road, we will be confused, entangled, and will doubt ourselves. However, we should insist on being ourselves and believe that we can be heroes of our own "exclusive battlefield".
