On the afternoonof November 2, President Li Chengwei, accompanied by the person in charge ofthe president's office, went to the College of International Education toinvestigate and guide the work. The meeting was held in the 901 conference roomof the administration building, attended by all the staff of the College of InternationalEducation.

At the meeting,the person in charge of the College of International Education reported on thework of Party building, education of overseas students, construction of Sinoforeign cooperative education projects, teaching operation, student management,work difficulties and problems, work measures and solutions.

President Lifully affirmed the work of the College of International Education. He pointedout that as a newly established college , the College of International Educationshould further identify the orientation of the college, highlight itscharacteristics and promote the high-quality development of the college. He putforward specific requirements for the work of the College of International Education:Firstly, we should improve our position, deeply understand the significance ofthe development of International Education in our university, actively adapt tothe new situation and new requirements of education internationalization,enhance the sense of responsibility and mission, actively carry out work, andimprove the internationalization and opening level of talent cultivation.Secondly, we should pay attention to unity and strengthen cooperation. Unityproduces talents, benefits and achievements. He hoped that the members of theteam would be good at unity, grasp the key points and further pool a strongforce for career development in caring for the vast number of teachers, servingand leading them well. We should deal with the relationship between Partybuilding and career development, promote the cause development in promotingparty building, reflect high-level party building in the cause development, andpromote the high quality of college work and career development with the highquality of Party building.
