    Pedagogy (Teacher-training) Major

    Pedagogy was approved to enroll students in 2004, which is the construction site of characteristic specialty and "first-class undergraduate specialty". In 2014, it was approved to enroll master of Education graduate students. (in the field of education management).  

    In the same year, with the approval of the Education Department of Henan Province, HIST launched a Sino foreign curriculum cooperation project with the University of South Australia in Australia. On the basis of pedagogy, this major introduces high-quality education resources from the University of South Australia, aiming to cultivate high-quality education talents with international vision. This major is the major supported and constructed by HIST, which inherits the fine tradition and accumulation of pedagogy.

    At present, there are 31 full-time teachers, including 12 professors, 16 associate professors and 19 doctors. In the training program, there are eight courses taught by foreign teachers and four of them focus on training students' listening and speaking ability.    

    HIST organizes outstanding students to exchange and study in Australia every year, and most of the teachers have the experience of studying abroad. Students whose English level meets the requirements of the University of South Australia can go to the University of South Australia to study and obtain a degree from the University of South Australia.

    This major has established practice bases in key primary and secondary schools and education and training institutions in Henan Province to provide conditions for cultivating students' practical innovation ability and personalized development; establish cooperative relationship with Peking University, Zhejiang University, Islamic University of Indonesia, Islamic University of Indonesia, University Putra Malaysia, etc. to provide exchange opportunities for cultivating high-quality students.  

    At present, there are two graduates of this major. In terms of postgraduate entrance examination, the graduates have obvious advantages in English and have strong development potential. At present, some students have studied abroad. The employment direction of this major is mainly for primary and secondary schools, education and training consulting institutions and education administrative departments at all levels, engaged in teaching, research, management, service and other aspects.
