Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation

The Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation Major was established in 2003. At present, this major is a pilot specialty of undergraduate engineering education and training mode reform in Henan Province (Excellence Program, a key first-level discipline of "Mechanical Engineering" in Henan Province). There are 11 professors, 10 associate professors, and 20 doctors.

This major trains students to master the basic theory, professional knowledge and basic skills of mechanical engineering, and trains their working ability in research and development, engineering application and operation management in mechanical design and manufacturing, mechanical and electrical control and other related fields. The college has academic and professional master's degree authorization points of mechanical engineering.

Students of this major can engage in mechanical design and manufacturing or automation control after graduation, and they can also continue to pursue postgraduate studies in mechanical manufacturing, automatic control, mechanical design, vehicle engineering, etc. Over the past 20 years, this major has trained a large number of practical talents and technical backbone for the electromechanical industry inside and outside the province, some of which have become the backbone of colleges and enterprises.
